Eugene Lowdown 2 New Restaurants Now Open Plus Your River Fest Lowdown
Everything Happening In Eugene In Your Inbox Twice A Week!
Tiger Mama's third location is now open, a new bakery is drawing traffic, and the Willamette River Festival is 8 days away.

Good morning. It's Tuesday, August 18. This week brings a few timely local updates, including new food openings and an upcoming community event centered on the Willamette River. If you're mapping meals and making plans for the week ahead, this edition should help. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown.

Tiger Mama Korean Restaurant Opens Third Location in Eugene's Crescent Village

Tiger Mama is serving up more than momentum. Owners Sunny Moon and Preston Shin have opened a 3rd Eugene location, Tiger Mama Cupbap Company, at 2776 Shadowview in Crescent Village. The late-July opening adds customizable Korean rice and poke bowls, wraps, doshirak and more, with a grand opening set for Sept. 4.

New Bakery is a Local Hit

Beestings and Butter Dairy & Bakery is now open at 83259 Territorial Highway, and the debut already looked busy. A line of cars greeted the opening, an early sign that plenty of locals were ready to check out the new Eugene stop for dairy and baked goods.

Paddles Up for River Fest

The Willamette River Festival lands at River House Beach next Saturday, with a full day of river fun from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect paddling competitions, live music, food, beach activities, guided rafting trips and a Paddle Parade, plus an awards ceremony and dance party for River House Outdoor Center's 60th anniversary.
