Eugene Lowdown Oregon Bach Festival Starts Tomorrow, and Alesong Turns 10
Everything Happening In Eugene In Your Inbox Twice A Week!
Two big weekend starts: Oregon Bach Festival concerts begin Saturday, and Alesong's two-day 10th anniversary celebration follows.

Good morning. It's Friday, June 26. Eugene's weekend plans are coming in two flavors: concert-hall grandeur and a very specific kind of "cheers" on Territorial Highway. If you're the type who likes your summer calendar to start with a bang, you're in luck. Alright, here's today's edition of your Eugene Lowdown.

Oregon Bach Festival Opens Tomorrow

The Oregon Bach Festival starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday, July 12, with a 2026 season built around creation, invention and the American story. Highlights include Ukrainian conductor Natalia Ponomarchuk leading Sunday's performance and Jos van Veldhoven closing the festival with Haydn's "The Creation" on Sunday, July 12.

A Birthday Beer Worth Cracking Open

Alesong Brewing & Blending is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new collaboration that sounds built for a cooler victory lap. The 10th CANniversary IPA, made with Portland's Gigantic Brewing, is a 7% IPA with Citra, Mosaic and Dolcita hops in 16 oz cans. The party runs Saturday and Sunday, 1-8 p.m., with live music, a cookout and special releases at Alesong on Territorial Highway.
