Free Friday Stroll Through Ash Groves

Friends of Trees is turning summer afternoons into leafy field trips with free tree walks in Eugene and Springfield. The next one is Friday at the Mill Race Path Trailhead, 3200 Jasper Rd in Springfield, where participants can learn about local ash groves from 4-6 p.m. No registration is needed.

Eugene Science Center Hosts Album Debut

Phoebe Bridgers' new album "Lost Weekend" is getting a cosmic soft launch at Eugene Science Center, where listeners can hear the full record inside the planetarium through Friday. These are listening sessions, not live appearances, with visuals created by Babak Tafreshi or Laser Fantasy to turn the first spin into an immersive show.

Fall Fun Just Dropped

City of Eugene Recreation just handed fall a full social calendar. The Fall 2026 Rec Guide is now online with fitness, family, connection and holiday-themed programs, and activities run from September through December. Registration opens at 9 a.m. on August 20, with printed guides expected around town soon.
