McKenzie River Lavender is serving peak purple energy this weekend with its annual Lavender Bloom Event, running Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect u-pick lavender, live music, local makers and food, all built around the farm's once-a-year burst of fragrant summer color.
"Clue" play and board games event for teens.
Teens ages 13-18 can register for a free Friday group activity that includes games and dinner at the Downtown Library followed by "Clue: Live On Stage" at the Hult Center. All event costs, including the show ticket, are covered. Advance sign-up is required for the special outing.
Buzz About Bees Opens Friday
Oregon's bees are getting their moment at the Museum of Natural and Cultural History, where "The Buzz About Bees" opens Friday. Visitors can expect up-close photos, hands-on activities and a public reception Friday evening, plus more opening weekend fun from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
