🧑‍🎓 Congrats to the graduates

The University of Oregon graduating class of 2025 walked across the stage and accepted their diplomas yesterday. A big congrats to everyone who can now call themselves a Duck alumnus, and good luck to whatever adventures come next.

🚧 Bailey Hill Rd closing for construction

For those of you who use Bailey Hill Rd on a regular basis, you’ll need to find an alternate route as the stretch between 11th Ave and 18th Ave is closing through the end of August for construction on the bridge spanning Amazon Creek. After completion, the bridge should be up to whatever type of earthquake Mother Nature can throw at it (right now it is definitely not up to the task!).

👟 Nike Outdoor Nationals kicks off on Thursday

The country’s best young track and field athletes will descend on Hayward Field starting on Thursday for the Nike Outdoor Nationals meet. Want to check out the action in person? General admission tickets are only $33!

🥇 UO Women take home a gold

What fun is it to host the NCAA track and field championships if the home team doesn’t take home a gold medal? Well, the UO women won’t have to wonder as junior hurdler Aaliyah McCormick outran the field in the 100-meter hurdles to become the first Duck to take home the title in this race. At the completion of the competition, Aaliyah ended up as the only Duck to take home an individual gold.

🍔 New burger spot opening at the mall: Trips to the mall are about to get a little tastier! Local burger joint Gotcha Burger is set to open its Valley River Center location on Wednesday. Want a burger but don’t want to swing by the mall? They’ll still be operating out of their food cart on 7th Ave as well.
