💫 Oregon Country Fair kicks off
Ok, I promise I’ll get all the typos fixed this time! The Oregon COUNTRY Fair kicks off today, and while it may feel like every person in Eugene is headed that way, I promise there are at least 5 or 6 folks who are staying behind. But if you’re making the trek, now’s the time to throw on your best fair regalia and dance the days away in the forest.
🐻 Are you a believer?
Want to take in a different mythical event in the forest? How about Sasquatch Summerfest in Oakridge? Here you can hear from researchers and believers who will leave you convinced that these creatures walk amongst us in the woods.
The event runs Friday & Saturday with live music, presentations, and vendors.
🥒 Local park is in a real pickle
Pickleball is all the rage these days, but for some local residents, that growth has hit (literally) a little too close to home. Westmoreland Park and its nearby residents are butting heads over the constant sound coming from the pickleball courts. As someone who has walked by many a pickleball game over the last few years, I could certainly see the consternation that 11 straight hours of that sound could bring. Read the whole story here.
